HISTORY OF THE ESCONDIDO DOWNTOWN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION (DBA)
The Escondido Downtown Business Association (DBA) was established in 1962 by a group of community-minded business owners. It was created to foster relationships among local entrepreneurs, advocate for the needs of downtown businesses, and promote Escondido’s historic downtown district. From the beginning, the DBA also served as a unified voice for its members in communications with the City, Fire Department, and Police Department.

Established in the late 1800s, Historic Grand Avenue has long been recognized as the economic and entertainment heart of Escondido.
