Escondido Eats presents “Fill Your Plate, Fill Your Heart” – 20 days of Escondido restaurant specials and giving thanks to the Escondido community and our restaurant industry. Many of the participating restaurants will be donating $1 for every special they sell during the event to North County Food Bank.
The Escondido Chocolate Festival is held annually in February, along Grand Avenue in and out of participating tasting locations. Give your Valentine a sweet memory. Bring your sweetheart or just your “sweet tooth” to beautiful Downtown Escondido to enjoy the "For The Love of Chocolate" Escondido Chocolate Festival. Stroll through 20+ designated restaurants, shops and spas while sampling chocolate paired with local fine wines & craft beers. Take a romantic horse-drawn carriage or pedi-cab ride down Historic Grand Avenue. Plus, 2nd Saturday, Escondido Arts & Culture, Free long stemmed roses while supplies last & Raffle Prizes too!

On Friday nights a time warp hits downtown Escondido! The streets are filled with strolling people of all ages, while a parade of pre-1970s vintage cars slowly cruise up and down Grand Avenue. All kinds of vintage cars—from American Hot Rods, Classics, Antiques, and Customs—help make seven blocks of Downtown Escondido the place to be on Friday nights! Bring the whole family for a night of fun.
Welcome to Escondido's 2nd Saturday Arts & Culture Experiences… a uniquely creative collaboration comprised of many different events. Bring the kids, enjoy a date night, or a friends afternoon out… there’s something for everyone!This fantastic collection of diverse cultural experiences still includes the wondrously eclectic art galleries of Escondido’s historic downtown and has grown to include arts, theater, museums and historical and educational experiences all around the area… and all throughout the day.
The Escondido Tamale Festival is held annually in early November in Grape Day Park. 12,000+ attendees come to north county to enjoy nearly 100 Tamale and other themed Food & Craft Vendors, Best Tamale Contest, Live on Stage Performances including Mariachi's, Folklorico & Latin Dancers, a Beer & Wine Garden, Chihuahua Costume Contest & Fashion Show, Fun rides and activities for kids, Free Entry with a VIP Ticket Option.
