Downtown Diplomats

Downtown Diplomats. Downtown Diplomats, sponsored by the DBA, Bank of Escondido, and The North County Times, are a group of volunteers that assist visitors at all of our Downtown events such as Cruisin' Grand, Festival Escondido, Escondido Street Faire, and Jingle Bell Cruise. They also provide information for those visiting downtown on the "local happenings" and locations of restaurants, museums, galleries, shopping, and professional offices. They will also act as liaison between our business members and the DBA.

The Downtown Diplomats usually work in pairs, which will make their experience more rewarding. Training is provided on a continuous basis and a minimum volunteer requirement of five hours per month. During the summer months Downtown Diplomats will assist visitors Downtown on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to answer questions they may have and bring concerns from our local businesses to the DBA.
