Downtown Escondido's Grand Ave will thunder for 26 Friday nights at the 10th year of the best of the Southern California Car Culture.

Cruisin' Grand starts April 3 and runs every Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the next six months through the middle of the 100+year old commercial district of downtown Escondido.

The Cruisin' Grand Committee has returned the event to its original formula of featuring 1973 and earlier American Hot Rods, Classics, Vintage, Custom and Muscle Cars.

Drivers of these event-era cars are welcome to park along Grand and the side streets between Ivy and Orange Street.

Owners of non-conforming classics and visitors are asked to cruise, then park in the free municipal lots along Second or Valley Parkway.

Grand Avenue will be open this year to through traffic. North and South Broadway, the center of the event, will be closed for Featured Car Club parking, sponsor booths, Special Attractions, and Car awards each night.

• 50s-60s Music, Name That Tune contests
• On Grand Avenue in historic Downtown Escondido, at old Hwy 395

Classic Car Owners

There is no pre-registration required and no areas designated for different models. Owners of 1973 and older American-made or American-powered Hot Rods, Customs, Vintage, Muscles and Classics cars and trucks, just bring your vehicle and find a spot to park on Grand. If your car is selected as a winner, the judges will contact you (at your vehicle) between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and give you a Winner's Card that will allow you to drive your car back to the Winner's Area for the awards.
