BEGINNING BEADING - A Global Perspective on Jewelry Learn the basics of creating beaded jewelry and using appropriate tools in this workshop taught by Sandra Francour, a local jewelry artist who makes beaded works inspired by her world travels. Participants will select beads and fashion their own bracelet and earrings. The class will begin with a discussion of beads from around the world, including those featured in the stunning exhibition NOMADIC LEGACY - Tent & Textiles of Central Asia and Iran. Samples of Sandra's jewelry at special pricing, will be featured in a trunk show that day in the Museum's Collector's Gallery.
Advance reservations required - tools and material are included. Limited to 15 participants. Appropriate for adults and children ages 12 and up.
